Looking to fuse a wide range of influences into one focused musical statement, Six Reasons has its roots in both the past and the present. They set out to create something unique from anything else on the music scene. Heavy but never sacrificing melody, technical yet grounded, and always interesting and rhythmic, their songs effectively run the full range of emotions and moods.
Ryan Holliday and Dan Cease met in school and soon formed a musical kinship. Without hindrance, they moved from playing covers to writing original material and soon formed a band. Different members came and went, but Ryan and Dan stuck to their musical vision throughout and continued to write and create interesting music. After a couple of years they took a break from the band scene and focused on writing new material and taking their music to the next level.
After a short break, Ryan and Dan were ready to form another group of like-minded musicians who could add to the chemistry that already existed and to bring their own unique musical influences to the table. The first person to emerge was Ryan Welcher. As Dan's cousin, both Ryan and Dan had watched him grow into a very talented musician over the years and knew he would be a perfect fit for the group. Once they started jamming, the vibe was locked in and solid. The next task was getting another guitarist that could fit into the mix. After trying various people and not finding a perfect fit, they found Charles Bouchonnet and the lineup was complete. Charles is a very aggressive player whose energy and passion for music has inspired the whole band.
