Formed in 2000 by Jared Stinson, metal/acoustic/punk band Sic Waiting released Your Name in Lights in 2007 and Anchors Astray in 2010. They’ve opened for the Vandals, Ignite, Strung Out, a Wilhelm Scream, Death by Stereo, H20, and others.
Having experienced studio fires, bus breakdowns, stolen gear, mythical venues, death, and despondency, the band calls itself “a force in the scene that will not go away. Kinda like a bad rash.”
As of 2022, the band included Jared Stinson now backed by bassist-singer Jason York (Parade of Horribles, Civil Unrest) and drummer Daniel Bubert. Their album A Fine Hill To Die On dropped that November via Thousand Islands Records (USA/CAN) and Pee Records (AUS), with UK/EU distribution by Lockjaw Records. Produced by punk icon Cameron Webb (NOFX, Motorhead, Strung Out), the album was preceded by singles for "Uncommon Veins" and "Life On Fire."
