Singer/songwriter Sarah Petrella was still a teenager when she began performing in a local country band, working with songwriter Don Goodman, as well as performing all over San Diego with the trio Most Wanted. A vet of musical theatre productions at the Lawrence Welk and Starlight Musical Theatre, her father Ben Petrella played in the Drive-Ins with local guitar celeb Stevie Salas.
In 2012, while splitting her residence between Encinitas and NYC, she recorded a three-song CD with veteran producers Geza X (Meredith Brooks, Redd Kross, Black Flag) and Paul Roessler (Nina Hagen, Josie Cotton, Gene Loves Jezebel). The EP features two originals, “Summer” and “Time Stands Still,” along with a cover of Pearl Jam’s “Daughter.”
She recorded a new album in 2015, Masters, previewed by the single “Dancing with the Devil.”
