Psych-rock band Sacco, named after an Italian anarchist who was executed in 1927, was founded by Andy Briehan and John Fredericks, both of Guards and the San Diego group Lesands. After relocating to Brooklyn, the duo was joined by drummer Chris Trombley, a fellow former Californian.
Their debut self-titled full-length as Sacco was recorded on Long Island and released in early 2014. That year, they were named a “World Café Next” artist, and the album spawned music videos for “Kerosene” and a two-song/one-video entry for the tracks “Carnival Ghost” and “Driving.”
A spring 2014 North American tour included a series of dates supporting Band of Skulls.
