“I’m a fairly new resident to San Diego but love the local music scene,” says Robby Nelms. “I started composing music when I was very young and began playing by ear.”
“I later went to college to get a degree in music. but soon realized that what they were teaching me was not what I wanted to learn. So I took a big step and dropped out to begin studying and composing on my own.”
His first album Ambient Jazzman, released in 2006, features a compilation of ambient, mixed with smooth jazz-styled music. A second album, PianoNotes, features more solo piano, and some piano with synth.
"Both albums were created for relaxing and stress relief," says Nelms.
