Inspired by EDM, hip-hip, and Asian animation, San Diego native Christian Ariza, AKA Rad Cat, is a Mexican American DJ and producer turned solo artist. He began writing songs as a teenager, first learning guitar and then studying production techniques, as he began exploring the possibilities of electronic music.
His production and remix credits include working with blackbear (who invited Rad Cat to join the Beartrap Music collective after coming across his remix of “IDFC”), Enrique Iglesias, Kevin Gates, Mike Posner, and T-Pain. Collaborative releases include "Replay" with Skyler Cocco and "Happy Never After" with L.A. producer Dutch Melrose.
His own releases include singles for “Hater,” “Love Me,” and “Show Off” with Dylan Matthew, as well as recording an EP called Love & Illusions with Dutch Melrose. The future bass EP single “Alright” reached number one on HypeM. His song "All Good" was licensed by Nintendo for a 2020 Switch Lite commercial.
Performances include appearances at the CRSSD Festival and Nocturnal Wonderland. Singles released in 2021 include “Diamond” with Gloria Kim on Dim Mak, and “Replay” with Skyler Cocco. He was cited in a September 2021 issue of Billboard Magazine on a list of 10 Latin Electronic Producers To Watch.
