Composer Neil Argo grew up in San Diego, studying piano and percussion in high school before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1966. He's best known for his work on the early 1980s Public Broadcasting Service television series Wild America, for which he also wrote the theme song. In 1984, he was awarded the first composer-in-residence grant from the Colorado Council on the Arts, funded by The National Endowment for the Arts, and he went on to score television shows like Dynasty, The Colbys, MacGyver, a Mission: Impossible revival, and Beverly Hills 90210.
