Myron Tweed earned his bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Cascade College in Portland, Oregon, and his master’s of music degree and a doctoral degree in musical arts from the University of Southern California. With his wife and children, he founded the Tweed Family Singers.
He moved with his family to San Diego in the early 1970s and became a longtime professor of music at Point Loma Nazarene University, as well as serving as director of music at various local Presbyterian churches.
Tweed passed away at the age of 83 on September 28, 2013, after a bout with brain cancer.
