Musica Vitale could make an arguement for being the best choir in San Diego County. They've been sining quality concerts since 2006 but not too many people have heard of them.
The core of Musica Vitale’s repertoire is based in a cappella song. It includes both sacred and secular music by Russian, French, Spanish, German, American, and British composers. Musica Vitale sings in a wide variety of styles ranging from the light clean lines of Renaissance music to the rich timbre and harmony of Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky.
From late Renaissance music by the likes of Thomas Luis Victoria to 20th Century music by Ives and Poulenc, whatever the language or style, their music is always filled with expression.
Founder Elena Vizuet, who earned her Masters Degree in Conducting and Music Education, is artistic director.
