Violinist Michael Dvoskin graduated from the Moscow State College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance in 2002. He also has a Master of Music degree in violin performance in 2007 from the Maimonid State Academy of Classical Art. He has performed with a number of radio and television orchestras and was a member of the Russian State Symphony Orchestra. He also toured with the orchestra in England, the Czech Republic, and Spain.
Dvoskin also conducted chamber and symphony orchestras in Russia to include local orchestral ensembles in Moscow. Since coming to San Diego in 2007 he has maintained a private violin studio, performs regularly with his pianist wife, Katherine (Ekaterina) Petrosyan, and teaches violin at the Bishop’s School.
