Based in Lakeside, the Mayors of SexyTown play ska, rock, and punk. They recorded a four-song demo CD in 2008, when the band members were 17 years old. Their jazz influence from the El Capitan High School Jazz Band is perhaps most evident on the fourth song, “Stachers.”
The band released a five-track demo the following year. Their self-titled debut album appeared in late 2009.
