Dark electro-pop rockers Matte Blvck features Daniel Corrales, whose previous duo PRGRM essentially ended with the death of co-founding singer Tza, aka Tonya Pugh, in summer 2017. The band also includes Alex Gonzales and Bidi Cobra. Their debut album I’m Waving, Not Drowning was preceded in July 2020 by a single for “Pure.”
The album includes a cover of Depeche Mode’s “Stripped.” A video for the next single “Bare” features visuals by artist Lake Hills and Alex Casillas.
