Los Hollywood is a trio which originally featured drummer Gustavo Mojica, singer Heidy Flores, and guitarist Jesus "Chuy" Garcia. In 2008, fans voted the band into the MySpace Latino Battle of the Bands, which they won in their region.
In 2010, the band released a five-song EP. Singer Flores (who sings in both Spanish and English) attended San Diego High School, while her songwriting partner on that EP, Mexico City-born Marcos Mondragon, lived in Tijuana.
The lineup was revised to Flores, Mojica, and Mondragon when they released a new self-titled EP in August 2015, produced by Thom Russo (Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Audioslave) and supported by a tour with Aterciopelados.
