Maurice League, aka Lil Spank Booty, grew up in National City and has stated his gang affiliation was an Emerald Hills Blood. After a 1990s stint with Prhyme Suspect, his music career was somewhat sidelined in 1994 after he eaned a lengthy prison sentence for armed robbery of a Lemon Grove Burger King. He had additional time added to his sentence for having a weapon in prison.
Though he was released in 2005 and worked with local rapper Mitchy Slick, he returned to prison two years later for robbing a Mira Mesa Old Navy store. He began serving a 37 year sentence in early 2007, reportedly using illegal cell phones to record music from his jail cell, with the help of engineer Steve Vicious.
His debut full-length Concrete Conspiracy is a collaboration with Bay Area producer DJ Fresh (Too $hort, Living Legends).
