Based in Escondido and originally known as the Heloise Love Band, the Lacemakers are an acoustic trio specializing in Irish and Scottish sounds. The group features Heloise Love (co-founder of the Celtic rock band Highland Way), Kim Donaldson (California State Old Time Fiddlers, the Ash Street Ramblers), and Miss Darla (who played with Love in the band Mountain Mommas).
The group released a self-titled full-length in 2012. They followed up the next year with their Common Thread album, featuring local guest player Tim Butler (bass) and Chris Clarke (mandolin).
