The Kingsmen (no relation to the 1960s San Diego band by the same name) formed in the early 2000s as a band of autistic teen musicians whose musical mentors are Angela Neve and Rachel Gant, of the Music Therapy Center of California. Locals who have played with the Kingsmen include Steph Johnson and John Cooper of the Howls.
