Rockabilly queen Kim Lenz grew up in San Diego, going on to record two albums with the Jaguars on Hightone Records, in 1998 and 1999. That band included bassist Jake Erwin, who’s gone on to work with Hot Club of Cowtown, formerly based in San Diego. After moving to Texas to attended the University of North Texas, she began plugging away on the performance circuit. She took some time off to start a family, until she released a compilation album in 2005 and a new disc in 2010, It’s All True.
