Still in his teens in 2008, Justin Nozuka’s debut album Holly (Glassnote Records) broke Billboard’s “Top 40 Heatseekers” chart, and also landed in the top 100 on the “Independent Albums” chart. The album also appeared in the top 100 of iTunes’ “Top Albums” chart.
His song “After Tonight” earned constant play on San Diego radio station Sophie 103.7, as well as making the top 100 on iTunes’ “Rock Singles” chart. In May 2008, VH1 showcased him as a “You Oughtta Know Artist on the Rise,” and Entertainment Weekly magazine named him “Most Promising Male Singer/Songwriter.”
