Jon Hasz has musical tastes that change with the wind. His ventures range from syncopated salsa grooves to neo-Gypsy swing and can be found habitually exploring the subtle shades of melody between popular styles of music.
Guitar was his gateway instrument, but after working at a local music store, his ears had been awakened to a vast array of timbre and tone. His album Memoirs of a Dream was released in 2004.
In 2006, he was the manager of Ramona’s only music store, Blue Horse Music. He eventually bought the store, renamed it Ramona Music Center, installed a recording studio, and released three best-of-Ramona compilation albums 2008-10. Those comps gave first-time studio exposure to members of Western Settings, Squarecrow, London’s Falling, the Amalgamated, and Spero Lumina.
