Based in Banker’s Hill, John and the Time Traveling Bicycle is the acoustic guitar-based creation of singer/songwriter, John D. Harmon. Originally from the mountains of West Virginia, Harmon spent from 1994 to 2007 writing for and performing in bands like Chiaroscuro, Attic Down, and Van Gogh Sky, all based out of Central Kentucky. Harmon moved to San Diego in 2008, where he wrote and recorded the electronic, studio-based album Life in the Temporary by Carriage House Saints.
John and the Time Traveling Bicycle was formed in 2011, blending flavors of folk, soul, and jazz into an accessible style that is thick with melody and rhythm, and ripe with emotion and intention.
A full-length called The Acquisition of Memories was released in 2015.
