Southeast San Diego rapper James Savage, aka Jayo Felony, is a former member of the Rollin 40s Neighborhood, a Crip gang stretching from the Chollas View to the Mount Hope neighborhoods. He has also gone by the names Peer Pressure, One Shot Kill, Bullet Loco, and Uno.
In 1994, Felony was signed to the label owned by Jam Master Jay called Jam Master Jay Records, releasing his debut full-length Take a Ride. A follow-up was released in 1998 on the Def Jam label, Whatcha Gonna Do?, featuring guest rappers Method Man, DMX, Mack 10, WC, Redman, Kokane, Ice Cube, E-40, and 8 Ball & MJG.
In 1999, he released another full-length, Underground, before collaborating with Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, and co-founding the Rifleman.
