Jack Sabbath was originally known as Children of the Grave: A Tribute to Early Black Sabbath, a four-person tribute founded by guitarist Jack Kaye (aka J-ommi) in November 2004. The band specializes in Sabbath’s early years, from 1970 to 1978, setting the mood to recreate the original Sabbath songs with the style, sound, look, and feel of when Ozzy Osbourne fronted the group.
Says the band, “Black Sabbath are the fathers and founders of heavy metal music. This is where it all began.” They changed their name to Jack Sabbath in 2012. By 2017, the act was being billed as an instrumental tribute.
