French Kiss Koma is one of the most unlikely group of musicians to ever come out of the San Diego music scene. From an unconventional group of seasoned players, young up-starts, and one broken beer bottle over the forehead, French Kiss Koma was formed.
Following a twelfth place finish out of 1,000 entries and a stellar performance at a 2008 acoustic San Diego Song Writers Competition, a decision was made by Joe Fabri, Nathan Beebe, and Lauren Scandlyn to push forward, plug in, and crank up the volume. After an extensive search of available San Diego musicians, bassist Justin Niotta and drummer Jenny Murello were added to complete a quite unorthodox line-up. Bandmember ages range from 18 to 51.
The incident involving the aforementioned beer bottle over the forehead and a lot of blood, was a trigger for guitarists Fabri and Beebe, who quickly formed a close bond and set out to create "music for the everyman in San Diego. No labels, no limits."
