Erick Macek fronts the Erick Macek Band, which won $25,000 at the 2009 Musicpalooza contest held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and was the Diesel Indie Music Series winner in 2013.
His 2013 album Live in San Diego was mixed by Grammy nominee Kellogg Boynton at local Studio West. After releasing a followup called Colors May Change, a self-titled EP was released in 2015, with its first single "No Worries." The EP (crowd-source funded) was produced, mixed, and engineered by Grammy-winning producer Mikal Blue (Jason Mraz, etc.) and features co-writer/vocalist Kate Earl and Toad the Wet Sprocket bassist Dean Dinning, on their duet "You Say."
