Formed in 2002, El Ten Eleven is a mostly instrumental duo featuring two former members of Softlightes, Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty. The band plays post-rock, combining guitar/bass doubleneck or fretless bass with heavy looping and electronics.
Among their atmospheric soundtrack work are songs heard in Lexus commercials, the MTV Video Music Awards, and in Gary Hustwit’s award-winning design documentaries Helvetica, Objectified, and Urbanized.
Their 2018 record Banker’s Hill was produced by Sonny DiPerri at Panoramic House at Stinson Beach on the Northern California coast.
