Composer, arranger, and music teacher Diane Moser was born in Iowa and was already an accomplished jazz pianist when she moved to San Diego in 1978. After several years in the local music and dance scenes, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York.
As of 2011, Moser teaches composition, improvisation and performance at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. In early 2002, she released a collaborative full-length with local contrabass virtuoso Mark Dresser, Duetto.
