Hailing from Tijuana, Mexico, DFMK is influenced by American hardcore, surf music, classic garage, punk rock bands and Argentinian punk bands. The group sings about existentialism, nihilism, drug abuse and stories about living in the most dangerous city (according to the U.S. government), dive bars, long nights, hangovers, broken hearts.
The group has launched both successful and disastrous tours that found them in cars on fire and facing drug cartel confrontations.
Fall 2020 saw the release of a new 15-track self-titled album, produced by Tyson "Chicken" AnniCharico of Dead To Me and released via La Escalera/A-F Records/Rad Girlfriend Records/Tiny Dragon Music/Puercords/Constructivismo Distro, with its lead single “Mal Presentimiento.” A 12-inch vinyl version was released in Opaque Pink (250 copies) or Translucent Pink (250 copies).
