Dead Hearts Club was founded in 2015 by Jacob Young, Danny Smith, and drummer/singer Nicki Carano (Spider Tree, Nectarine, the Cameltones). Carano passed away at the end of January, 2016, killed during a severe windstorm by a falling eucalyptus tree on the 3900 block of Ingraham Street.
The band was later joined by drummer John Allen (Devastators, Elijah Emanuel & the Revelations).
