Corelia are a progressive metal band founded by guitarist Chris Dower and drummer Clayton Pratt. Bassist Adrian Alperstein was added to the lineup a few months after the band’s original formation, and in early 2010 the band completed their lineup with vocalist Ryan Devlin and guitarist Ryan Borrell. Throughout this process of finding band members, the band released several demos online, with their their debut Nostalgia released in September of 2011.
Nostalgia was re-released in July 2012 as an instrumental album featuring remixed and isolated tracks, demos, and other extras.
In 2015, the band launched an Indiegogo fundraiser to record a new album, raising over $33,000 from fans donations. A year later, it appeared the band had split without recording that album, with their last social media post in October 2016. Finally, in April 2020, someone from the band posted on their Facebook page "We are very sorry for everything that fans of Corelia have had to go through. We've only ever wanted to complete this album that we spent so much time recording and show the world our art. But, unfortunately, that has been a very rocky road."
