Formed in 1979, Claude Coma & the IVs included Claude Christensen (vocals, guitar), John Gunderson (bass), Don Story (guitar), David Davenport (keys), and Terry Micalizio (drums). After releasing an LP called Art From Sin, and a 7-inch with "Junkman" b/w "All Day Suckers," they split in the early 1980s.
The band played mean and economical pop-punk behind Coma’s weirdness: “I’m sick of the bus/I can’t take it no more/Let’s kill these people/What are they good for?”
Gunderson, Micalizio, and Story later founded the Ravens.
