Cerulean Veins, a post-punk/coldwave music project by Paper Plane Pilot songwriter Dustin Frelich, released its debut single “Black and White” in Autumn 2013.
A fourth single, “Stranger,” was released in April 2014, followed by “In Your Love” in July. By October, their sixth single was available, “Girls Will Dance,” followed in December by a seventh, “Be Still.” Their ninth single “Human” was released in March 2015, followed in May by "Kiss Me Kill Me," in July by "Love Like You Will," in August by "Hex Me," and in October by "Laugh with the Lonely."
2015 was rounded out with singles for "Just Want" and "Zelda." In March the following year, a full-length called Self-Entitled was released, featuring a lineup with Frelich, his wife Amanda Ashley Toombs on keys, guitarist Paul Welch, and drummer Bob Patrowicz.
A limited edition CD version of Self-Entitled (100 copies) was released, packaged in a re-sealable sleeve with one-sided front and back card printing and a disc to match. The CD also includes unlimited streaming of the album via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC, and other digital formats. In July 2016, "Stoplove," the debut single from the band's sophomore album, was released.
The full-length Ado dropped in November 2017, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Dustin Frelich.
