Blues Denial featured members from Big Brother & the Holding Company, Blue Cheer, and the Boz Scaggs band. El Cajon native Lee Bittner (Morning Glory) had played drums with Big Brother after Janis Joplin died, as well as playing on Norman Greenbaum's hit "Spirit in the Sky."
As of 1979, Bittner was operating Bittner’s Restaurant Equipment in Vista. Bassist Dnile later played with punk rockers Spent Idols, Black Belt (alongside Mike Spent from Spent Idols), and Van Valen tribute OU812.
