The Bloodflowers was known as Slowdrag when founded in 2008 by Rey Hoover with Jon Herominski on drums. The band changed its name to the Bloodflowers in 2009, with the arrival of Jimmy Armbrust on bass guitar, though he was later replaced by Jeff Williamson.
The band recorded their 2015 album at Media Tech in Oceanside, with mixing started and mastering to follow. “No set date for release,” said drummer Albert Aguilar early that year, though “We’re planning a European tour in April. We also have management now.”
