Arriving in San Diego via El Paso, Black Mamba singer Aimee Sanchez managed to attract the attention and admiration of several notable San Diego musicos, including Keith Milgaten (Vision of a Dying World), Jordan Clark (Hot Like a Robot, The Feelings Mutual), and Tyson Wirtzfeld, and Jordan Clark. One of the band's first tours was opening for the Album Leaf. As of early 2009, Milgaten and Sanchez also play together in Jamuel Saxon.
In 2011, keyboardist Aimee Sanchez (who also plays in Heavy Hawaii) co-founded a new band with Derek Butler called Divers, featuring keyboard, bass, and processed drums.
