Born in Tunisia, Amen Ben Koussa, aka Amen BK, is a rapper and a songwriter. Through 2004, he performed with Mafio XMC's before forming the Tunisian band Empire (2008 - 2010).
After relocating to San Diego in 2013, he began performing and recording solo works, sometimes with Portuguese composer Miguel Fernandes. An advocate of conscious art, his lyrical content reflects a global citizen perspective on various themes, with a positive approach.
He self-released Another Perspective in 2016, with a promotional video produced for the track "One Sky Above." The song/video concerns peace and cultural coexistence between nations, featuring footage from 48 countries around the globe. Videos were also produced for "The Hermit" and "Unfair Trials."
