The show “Black, White, & Brew” is a group exhibition at Bar BASIC, on October 2nd, 2012 from 7-12pm, showcasing artists who adhere to this simple color scheme. Keemoworks and E.vil are part of a collaborative group of art lovers and creators known as KEM. Their distinctive style and interest in all types of self-expression comes through in their work. Keemowerks is a fascinating artist with a unique style of combining beauty and mortality. Stunning female portraits look as if x-radiograph film has been layered over the image, creating a beautiful, and shocking, contrast. E.vil’s artistic style is translated through apparel and toy design. Sophinie Som specializes in web design, graphic arts, illustration, photography, as well as other media. Her multidiscipline approach to artistic creation allows her work to have dimension and depth. Using strong women as models, Sonia focuses on portraying inner beauty juxtaposed with natural elements to create interesting and gorgeous compositions. Other artists exhibiting are MR DVICE, Alli Bautista, Carrie Anne Hudson, Sumo1, Brian Rediker, Eric Wixon, RBST, Unique Macapayag, and Brian Hebets. Artists True Delorenzo, Sharif I. Carter, David Goff, and Hillary Young will perform live painting. Music will be provided by Dj Pokkey and Johnny Tran. The Black, White, & Brew show begins at 7pm and runs until 12am on October 2nd, 2012. Bar BASIC is located at 410 Tenth Avenue, San Diego, 92101. There is free and open to the public.
