On Tuesday June 5th the Planet Venus will pass in front of the Sun. The San Diego Astronomy Association will be hosting a public viewing event at the Tierra Del Sol Observatory compound located near Boulevard, California.
The public is invited to participate. There will be multiple solar telescopes setup for viewing the transit of Venus at the observation site. A map to the compound is located at:

If you plan to attend dress for a sunny warm day, bring water, food, don't forget your medicines as the compound is 80 miles east of San Diego, and is located at 3800 feet.
