“We’ve been an activist group for many years. We’re really hyped to support this movement and provide an ongoing source of income for them.”
Liquid Blue’s second monthly “Occu-party” installation will include their recent Top-10 single “Earth Passport” (a song about world peace which holds a Guinness World Record for “Song Sung in Most [nine] Languages”) and classic protest songs from Dylan, Springsteen, Lennon, and others.

“We believe that the power of an individual voter has greatly diminished and the wealthy (1%) now control the majority of influence and power in the United States,” their website reads. “We advocate a non-violent people's revolution which aims to bring power back to the people."

A San Diego County certified green business, Liquid Blue has hosted a monthly documentary movie night since 2004.

Named after a form of LSD from the ‘60s (“We believe everyone should ‘turn-on’ at least once or twice”), Liquid Blue has been dubbed the “World’s Most Traveled Band” with performances in over 115 countries.
Liquid Blue founder Stephens, a former member of the L.A. T-Birds Roller Derby team and the former editor in-chief of Raw Power Magazine, uses roller skates as his primary means of transportation and has skated in more than 100 countries while on tour with the band, whose logo is a mandala representing "world unity and world peace.”
This month’s Sounds of Occupation Occu-party also features the Skavolutionary Orchestra, The Barnwell Shift, Fabio Alejandro of B-Side Players & Marauak, Women’s Occupella Orchestra, and guest speakers Stephanie Jennings (who was subjected to what has been called a brutal arrest last month), Mike Garcia (an Occupy San Diego media liaison who was also arrested earlier this month), and spoken word poets Jerrica Escoto and Deacon Blair.
