San Diego/Tijuana minimal garage rockers The Electric Healing Sound will be playing at Moustache Bar on Calle Sexta and Madero in Zona Centro, Tijuana tomorrow, Saturday, December 22.
Moustache Bar is a cozy venue a block east of Revolucion that offers carafes of beer and is in walking distance of tons of great food (the nearby La Corriente is one of my favorite spots for fresh seafood tostadas and mescal).

“Before the [Calle Sexta] clubs opened, there wasn’t a lot going on,” guitarist Rocky Soltero told The Reader in October.
“But people were tired of being scared. They just said, ‘Let’s party.’ Calle Sexta brought people all the way over from the old parts of TJ where the violence was.”

The Electric Healing Sound’s debut LP, Tangled Up, dropped in July.
Tangled Up was recorded on reel-to-reel audio tape at Electric Orange Studios with Andrew Montoya (The Sess, Beaters, Ale Mania), who mixed and mastered the record at his studio, Pandemonium Recorders.
Shortly thereafter, the album was released on cassette via Ames, Iowa label Workerbee Records.
