And the prize for the best-decorated restaurant of the season...has to be Landini's Pizzeria (1827 India Street, Little Italy, 619-238-3502). Come here around sunset and their decorations, combined with the artwork of artist Grant Pecoff, who has the studio upstairs, put it right out of some movie set.
Heading there to get my slice. More soon.

...Later: Jes' had two slices and a Peroni draft beer. The combo for $8:50. Including tax, $9.16. Got La Piccante and the meatballs and marinara. La Piccante's basically pepperoni, cheese, and Lotsa sliced peppers. Good, but nothing like as good as the meatballs. Because the marinara is just so luscious.
I have them up in the rear deck...

Nice crisp, tender, thin crust. Just having the crust with the beer's a great combo. An all-time great pizza moment? That stays with El Taller in TJ, their snail pizza.
But with the beer this is delish, and a pretty good deal. Now all I gotta do is resist going up into Grant Pecoff's studio.

It helps being in the same building as Grant Pecoff, maybe the only artist who's not afraid of color...
