Jet Ski unit rescues 3 uninjured people from Devil's Slide rocks and transports them to La Jolla Shores.

Oct 1

07:55 - Swimming: 54-year-old male pulled from the water at Bahia Point, Mission Bay Triathlon event. Special events lifeguard on scene, CPR in progress, automated external defibrillator deployed. 1 shock given. Medical, emergency and multiple lifeguard units respond. Patient transported to UCSD.

09:51 - Medical: Wrist injury, 16 year-old female, surfing accident at Mission Beach lifeguard station. Emergency, medical and lifeguard respond. Patient transported to Grossmont.

13:13 - Cliff: 1 uninjured person stuck on cliff at boundary line Blacks Beach. Multiple lifeguard units respond and cliff rescue performed.

14:49 - Boating: VHF call of a PWC taking on water, South Ingraham St. Bridge. Lifeguard boat units respond. 2 persons rescued from the water. PWC towed to beach.

15:30 - Medical: 35-year-old female altered level of consciousness. Lifeguards, emergency and medical respond. Patient released with advise to seek further medical attention.

17:35 - Boating: VHF call of vessel House Money dead in the water at Mariners Cove. Lifeguard boat unit responds and sets anchor. Vessel Assist contacted.

17:58 - Cliff: 2 persons stuck at boundary line, Blacks Beach. Northern Area Cliff Response requested. Multiple lifeguard units respond. Copter II requested for lighting. 2 rescues.

23:02 - Swimming: Lobster diver calling for help at South Boomers. SDPD along with lifeguard shore, boat and air units respond. Lifeguard meets with reporting person and deploys another lifeguard with rescue board. Lifeguards clear the water of lobster divers and all swimmers are accounted for. It was confirmed by lifeguards there was a diver calling for his brother and not a call of distress.

Sept 30

10:20 - Boating: Lifeguard responds to a report of a dragon boat race chase boat waking out the Hilton dock. Lifeguard meets with both parties and informs the chase boat to slow down.

11:00 - Medical: Stingray injury at Tourmaline Surf Park. Lifeguard responds and the patient will self-treat.

11:20 - Medical: 1600 East Mission Bay Dr. 51-year-old male with chest pain. Lifeguards, emergency and medical respond. Medical transports patient to unknown destination.

12:48 - Medical: 18 year-old male with a stingray injury at Scripps. Lifeguards, emergency and medical units respond. Barb is reported to still be imbedded in foot of patient. Medical transports patient to Scripps La Jolla.

13:50 - Boating: Disabled vessel off the north channel jetty. Vessel is a 23 ft. Trophy w 5 persons on board. Lifeguard boat unit responds and tows vessel to buoy line to await commercial assistance.

14:44 - Other: Harbor PD notifies lifeguards of an Octoberfest banner that fell in the water in Mission Bay. Lifeguard boat unit investigates and is unable to locate.

17:16 - Boating: Boat near surf at Ocean Beach Pier. Rescue vessel is requested to Ocean Beach main tower. Response cancelled.

18:05 - Boating: 2 kayakers in distress off Devil’s Slides. Lifeguard shore and Jet Ski units respond. Jet Ski unit rescues 3 uninjured people from the rocks and transports them to La Jolla Shores.

18:10 - Boating: Vessel 200 yards off shore. Anchor is not holding and vessel is reportedly taking on water. Lifeguard boat and Jet Ski units respond. All units cancelled. Citizen assist.

18:11 - Medical: 25 year-old male unconscious but breathing at 5500 Newport. Lifeguards respond. Unable to locate.

18:35 - Enforcement: Disturbance, 2 suspects in the water at north Pacific Beach. Lifeguards respond. No fight according to surfers interviewed after exiting the water. SDPD and lifeguards clear.

Sept 29

13:21 - Medical: Man down at Mission Blvd and San Rafael. Lifeguards, emergency and SDPD respond. Lifeguards cancelled, emergency handles.

Sept 28

11:27 - Enforcement: Intoxicated person at Portsmouth and Oceanfront Walk. Lifeguards, SDPD respond. SDPD arrests one male.

11:23 - Cliff: 2 people stuck on cliff at boundary line at Blacks Beach. 31S/3L/36X respond. Lifeguards perform a ladder extrication.

19:34 - Swimming: Report of 2 missing juveniles at Pacific Beach Dr. Lifeguard shore and air units respond. Off duty Lifeguard advises missing juveniles are reunited with parents.

Sept 27

09:18 - Medical: 49 year-old male with a hip injury at 5130 Saratoga Ave. Lifeguard, emergency and medical respond. Medical transports patient to UCSD.

14:00 - Medical: Stingray victim at Blacks Beach. Lifeguard responds and provides treatment.

21:14 - Swimming: 911 call for people yelling in the water at 333 Coast Blvd. Lifeguard shore, boat and air units respond. Search of land and water checks clear, noise determined to be sea lion.

Sept 26

14:12 - Medical: Male bitten by dog at Tower 6 in Ocean Beach. Lifeguard, emergency and medical respond. Emergency unit handles.

14:48 - Medical: Light headedness at 1100 Coast Blvd. Lifeguards, emergency and medical respond. Medical transports patient to Kaiser.

18:09 - Medical: Unconscious person on rocks south of Ocean Beach Pier. Lifeguards, emergency and medical respond. SDPD arrests one person.

18:15 - Boating: Jet Ski collision in Fiesta Bay by Government Island. Lifeguard boat units respond and rescue 2 people and tow PWC to H2O Watersports.

Sept 25

10:36 - Medical: Stroke at Pearl St. at La Jolla Blvd. Lifeguards, emergency and medical respond. Medical transports patient to Scripps La Jolla.
