Every little breeze seems to whisper unease in this one-location, one-joke comedy. We never know exactly why our six anal-retentive alpha males cruise the Aegean Sea on a luxury yacht, but one thing’s for certain: every minute of their time together will be spent competing for your attention. From housecleaning to brand of underwear, everything becomes a tournament with these guys. Director Athina Rachel Tsangari makes great use of the cramped confines; her Panavision lens practically invites us on a structural tour of the cabin cruiser. Co-writer Efthymis Filippou (Dogtooth, The Lobster) continues to kick up enough ripples to form a new wave of Greek absurdism all his own. The tide begins to turn at the halfway point. After that, it’s just a matter of time before the inevitable third act cascade of testosterone leaves one to question whether this Trivial Pursuit pie is half-empty or half-full. (2015) — Scott Marks
