Trumpeter Stephanie Richards of UC San Diego's music faculty, who has worked with David Byrne, Kanye, the Kronos Quartet, the Pixies, and St. Vincent, plans an explosive program of newly composed music for solo trumpet and small group in collaboration with drummer Andrew Drury, pianist Vicki Ray, pianist Cathlene Pineda, and contrabassist Mark Dresser.
