Masterworks Chorale will perform Puccini's Messa di Gloria. Composer Giacomo Puccini is known for the sweeping melodies and luxurious harmonies in his great operas such as La Boheme and Turandot. His setting of the traditional Latin mass texts is perhaps lesser known but is equally richly scored. Audiences will enjoy hearing the orchestration with full chorus and soloists. The performance begins with an introduction of the work in the MiraCosta College Concert Hall (Bldg. 2400).
