Local photojournalist Sam Hodgson leads a hands-on workshop inspired by the current photojournalism exhibition, Pictures of the Year International. In this four-hour course, participants will discuss the elements of a storytelling portrait, how to approach subjects, how to deal with natural light under difficult conditions, and how to make a subject comfortable in front of the camera through both gallery and classroom instruction.
