Voice Actor is a shoegaze-influenced quartet formed by guitarist Timothy McCann, alongside bassist Christopher Bengtsson (Dancing Strangers) and keyboardist Kimberly Feilen. The trio was later joined by drummer Adrian Carrilo (Bagdad, Comet Calender).
They signed to Tijuana-based label Prima Crush in 2015, releasing their debut full-length Runaway the following year. The album was preceded by the single "Empty Letters."
As with the label's other acts (Ibi Ego, Dani Shivers, Late Night Howl, Dancing Strangers, María y José, Eric Curiel, etc.), the album was released on cassette. with an enclosed download card good for digital versions.
