Super Buffet is bass player/singer Pete Bayard (formerly of Inigo and Rookie Card) and a slowly rotating cast of musicians. Self described as “Jonathan Richman getting into a pillow fight with King Kahn and BBQ show while 96 Tears plays in the background,” the band exhibits short, catchy songs that are easy to sing along to if you like them, and are over quickly if you don't.
Both the audience and the band have fun at the shows. Frequent, short lived, spontaneous outbursts of dancing have become a regular occurrence. Initially conceived of as a one show band thrown together for a visit home to the Boston area, the project has grown and evolved through performances across the country.
Early 2016 saw them appearing on a vinyl-only local band compilation from Blindspot Records, Sounds From the Stratosphere, also featuring Manual Scan, Pony Death Ride, Blaise Guld, and Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra.
