Olivelawn was a punk rock band that released two albums in the early 1990s. The definitive lineup featured singer Mike Olson, guitarist O. (a.k.a. Otis Barthoulameu). drummer Eddie Glass, and bassist Neil Blender. Jonny Donhowe replaced Blender on bass after the group released its first single.
A debut album, Sap, was issued on Nemesis Records in 1991, followed by Sophomore Jinx! on Headhunter Records in 1992. The latter was recorded in Seattle and produced by Jack Endino.
O and Donhowe went on to form Fluf, while Glass joined Fu Manchu in 1993 as lead guitarist. Glass founded the power trio Nebula in 1996, playing guitar. Otis Barthoulameu, aka O, passed away in February 2023. The singer-guitarist also played with Makeup Sex, and Systems Officer. "He tour managed lots of bands from the UK when they came to play in SD," recalls Casbah operator Tim Mays. "He was the guitar master of loud heavy chords."
