Marissa Grace started playing piano at age 4, as well as learning guitar and ukulele in addition to singing with the Christian Youth Theater. Her cover of “Rude” by Magic earned her airplay on the local Jeff & Jer radio show when she was only 11.
By the time she was 13, the singer/songwriter from La Mesa became a YouTube celebrity whose dream is to make a difference through positive and relevant music.
“My music partner, Charles Jirkovsky [Moonlight Stage Productions, Neisha’s Dance & Music Academy], plays lead guitar and is also an award-winning composer and playwright,” she told the Reader. “We first got together wen he started running the music lessons department at Guitar Center in La Mesa.”
