Flaggs, originally featuring guitarist Lindsay Matheson (aka Lindsay Lee, formerly of the Nervous Wreckords), bassist Leslie Schulze (formerly of the New Kinetics), and drummer M. Franco, made their concert debut on July 13, 2013, at the Casbah. A self-titled debut EP was released in summer 2013.
Bassist Leslie Schulze left the band in early 2014, moving to Oklahoma City to attend air traffic control school. The group then expended to a quartet, releasing their God Hates Flaggs album later that year.
Lindsay Matheson (aka Lindsay Lee) cofounded the all-female rock band Locker Room Talk in 2016, alongside Saba, Celeste “CC” Spina (Little Hurricane), and Jessica Maros (Escondido).
